Not gonna happen to this chic.

I was using a digital that read 101 then i found the original mercury one so i placed both in there digital reads 101 and mercury that reads 104 i have alaays been told mercury was probably right. And its an old incubator sterofoam one small

Mercury thermometers usually need to be shaken down to take the next reading, so be careful! Old incubators usually used alcohol thermometers (usually red dyed liquid) as they go up and down quickly in response to temperature changes.

Inconsistent thermometers are one of my many pet peeves.

Well i don't like it if someone smokes in my house. whenever I did smoke I always smoked outside. I quit by vaping. I never thought that I would ever stop. Thought that I would smoke drawing my dying breath.
I have researched both the bleach and the oxine. Bleach is good at 2-4ppm. I am still checking on the oxine. Bleach is Chlorine. :D

Does the copper Sulfate kill bacteria, virus and mold too? How does it work? I know that you can use bleach or oxine and make water potable for human consumption. I just don't want to have to keep draining a 55 gallon tank, clean it and refill it weekly. They don't use it as much in the summer as I put 1 gallon waterers in the runs and with the rooster boost stuff and change that daily. They use that more. I like to keep the other water just in case they run out or There is a disaster like hurricane, etc.

Am a smoker here... hate smoking near people, period... lol...

I would go with Oxine over bleach... I use Oxine for my bators and in waterers in a pinch... I don't stress over microbugs in water too much, would rather have tougher animals and let them build up resistance... I never use ACV in fact, it strips out all good gut bacteria as well as bad...
Copper sulfate eliminates scrubbing out waterers all the time... have not scrubbed any of mine all summer... and I add red cell quite a bit too, doesn't affect buildup, just stains...
