Everything's okay, I hope.  I've just been in a lot of pain(stabbing, spasm type stuff), and it's in my back but it isn't my back.  They did a ct scan last night and found nothing. Inconclusives everywhere.  I should have been relieved but I wasn't.   They threw antibiotics and pain killers at me and sent me home. :/   I hate both of those things. I'm allergic to the pain killers, but I guess they think I am lying about the pain, b/c no one will listen to me. "Just try them. Just take them anyway and see what happens."  Umm. . . I know working in an ER is really tough, and you see a lot of liars and people who exaggerate, and I hate to be a bother, but I don't think a lower dose of Tylenol is going to help with the extreme nausea, hot flashes, and itching those LT give me. 

That was the nurses solution--the norco only has 325mg of tylenol, so it shouldn't make me sick.  To me, that points to her assuming I abused them and overdosed on the Tylenol and got sick or something.  But, I'm probably just in a bad mood.  So, here I am, up at almost 3am(!), the lonely only, complaining about stuff; reading about ct scans and chickens. . .   

Where is that soapbox you guys had earlier this week?

I just hope it's not ankylosing spondylitis with fibromyalgia like I have. The best they can do is keep the pain at a tolerable level, but took 5 years of testing to try and work it out.

I had some strange back pain a couple months ago, finally went away, I hope yours does too. Has it been going on long, or is this something new? I know there are so many possibilities when people have pain, but its sad to see how they just run people through the mill, passing out pain pills, then wonder why there are so many addicts. I never popped the seal on the prescription they filled for me, after reading how addicting it could be. I hope if it continues for you, they find it quickly, and its something that can be fixed, not just medicated.

Know how you feel about all that, I get migraines... went through tons of tests and they couldn't find a cause... best guess is mine are hereditary... :/

a lot of peoole blame it on being hereditary. But there are so any other factors people aren't considering. Food, meds, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, and vaccines are all so pumped full of junk nowadays. All the chemicals in cosmetics and cleaning supplies could easily be the cause of your migraines

I hope that whatever is causing your pain resolves soon.  I've had some weird things happen, like pinched nerves, that set up symptoms in other areas.  Like you, I don't like the typical medical response of "drug it, you might feel better".  Goodnight!

Sadly that's the way hospitals and doctors treat people nowadays. Give you an expensive pill to cover up the pain, not heal it

I would think by day 15 you should see some good movement. Were these eggs you had shipped or your flock?

I am going to shut down the GQF incubator tonight and move my turkeys to the Polyhatch.  25-45 watts vs 250 is one reason...but also just to see how it does.

It's very simple, yet very clever.  The egg turner base is a perforated aluminum plate that rolls back and forth, driven by a cam.  The eggs would just move back and forth as well, except they use divider rods to hold the eggs back.  So the eggs roll against the rods, and rotate 90 degrees every 30 minutes.  The tray moves very slowly.

And the tray is reversible...it has one set of motor guides for large eggs, and another for small eggs, to ensure that 90 degrees is always attained.

Double insulated top window is nice as well.  And it has a tiny LED inside so that it's not pitch black.

The water trays are readily filled by lifting the aluminum plates that cover the gaps at the end of the tray.  The base has a built in water guide on each end to direct water into the channels.

I'm curious to see how it does as a hatcher. Especially after reading about how still air hatchers are superior to forced air incubators.

  sorry to hear that. As a single mom I hate seeing a parent that can't put their child(ren) before their problems with their exes.  I won't say I haven't had my moments where I've wanted to push a certain "dad" off the end of the earth.....lol  But all of my decisions from the first day have always been what's best for my son, even when it meant I had to swallow my pride and let things go so that he could have some type of relationship with his father. I absolutely can't stand a woman that (without good cause) keeps a child from a their father (or visa versa) as "punishment".  My son's dad has a son three years older than ours and she (the other momma) is a witch with a capitol B and constantly uses their son as a pawn to hurt the ex. Makes me sick. He isn't dad of the year by far, but he's ok.

 My son has been very lucky in that aspect. His paternal grandmother and uncle actually saw and met my son way before his father. She loves him to death and treats him so good and he loves her to death. (She's basically the reason Cade doesn't have a problem going with his dad on dad's day to have him.) Her and I did come to blows early on cause being a mom she did step in where she shouldn't have, but after a small confrontation, she stepped back, let us handle our business and she's been awesome ever since. It's hard for me not having my mom here to see my son with, but I am very grateful that she is the grandma she is and he's gotten the chance to have a grandma.

For the most part the ex and I get along, not always easy, but our son comes first. The failure of our relationship was our doing, not his. 

That's the most important thing. To do what's in the best interest of the child. That's when you learn a lot about people. Seeing who can sacrifice their own emotions for their child's.

Watching a 7 month old pull up on furniture and climb stairs makes me smile (as I hover because she has no fear!)

Parents are home now and my other Daughter is here, so we are having lots of fun together. Will be sad to head home tomorrow - DH can drive, I'll sleep.

I have an 8 month old. So I know exactly what you are saying!! I know you love her to death but it must be nice to get that break and send her home. Trust me, I know!!

that's what I thought it was once I first read it typed on here..then I quickly figured it out. Lol.

I had 31 turkey eggs, about half from my BBB and Golden Narr, and the other half Golden Narr x Golden Narr.

There were a lot of non-developers and 2 early quitters, and now I have 10 eggs in the incubator, 5 project and 5 Narr.  

I will put my project eggs in the Polyhatch, and leave the Narr in the GQF.  They should hatch the same day, other than perhaps a straggler or two that I set late, so it will be interesting to see the results.  Still air vs forced air, tabletop vs cabinet, Brinsea vs GQF, side turner vs on end and tilting, 102.5 vs 100.  I hope they ALL hatch.
