She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Just did a quick candle on top of all 32 eggs in my bator, and I have excellent development in at least 26!! Possible 6 clears, but too early to be sure. Bad news is 3 of those possible clears are out of the 4 silver sebrights. One is definitely developing. She actually wasn't sure on their fertility anyway, so I knew it was possible. All 6 japs looks great!

That's awesome! Hope the Sebrights turn out!

I've been following the development of my project poults for three months now. One of them has a color pattern that I've never seen before. The father is a Golden Narragansett and the mother a Bronze, so all the babies should have been Narragansett or Golden Narragansett or Bronze or Red Bronze. But this one was different.

As it's getting its adult coloration, it appears it is a sport, a natural mutation to Oregon Gray. That's a variety thought extinct but Kevin Porter "recreated" it based on what he thought the genetics should be. The genetics of mine is different than his as mine has no gray gene bred in. I love the color and would really like to have a flock of these. I can't wait until she has all her adult feathers.
That's so interesting. I can't wait, too!

I rearranged some vowels there. ..

GA, I completely agree with you on MsG!!! We cut that and tons of other things out of our diet and everyone feels better. We don't eat anything with food coloring, either. MSG is the cause of lots of children's inability to pay attention

Red #40 is evil... :sick

Next spring don't be surprised if I don't pick your brain about turkey breeds. My nephew thinks he wants to do turkeys. I said I know just the person to talk to...lol (Not that he listens to me anyway...lol)
