Sure, you say this after I've spent a week reading and I'm 5500 posts in...

That's ok, I've learned a lot reading and will keep reading.
That's great! Welcome to the thread.

I was going to let that go, but I worked in a hospital for 20 years and saw doctors and staff work so hard to help people. Millions of dollars in charity care, unpaid overtime, etc.

Where did you get your information Silkie, the Internet?
I have been a nurse for over 30 years and worked the ER for most of them. You definately see alot of time wasters and drug seekers. You can generally tell who is genuine. Testing is very sophisticated these days and can mostly pin point a problem if its real. However, there are some elusive problems, that can take a while to diagnose correctly.

Guess that makes you and me part of the evil hospital system that just takes people's money and doesn't try to heal them.

Oh and gachooks, my irritation is not directed at you. I hope you find some answers and solutions to your pain.

They are cutting back on Tylenol for everyone to prevent accidental overdoses. I used to work on a transplant unit and trust me, you want to protect your liver!

Yep. That's us.

Unfortunately, it's the addicts and ones who want to 'live off the system' that make things the most difficult for people who really need the help... I have much more I feel about this, but will leave it at that...

FridayYet & chicapee thank you for choosing such a selfless occupation and for all the work you have done helping others... :hugs

My power just went out and it's going to be several hours till it comes back on due to a car knocking the pole down. Should I move my eggs and incubator to my grandmas house about 2-3 miles away?? Please help!!

The risk of moving the eggs and damaging the embryos is higher than the risk of letting them cool. Blanket them and sit it out.

I've ben busy all day trying to get coops up. Wondering about the bar that holds the eggs in place do they rotate when the turning plate goes back and forth . seams like that would be a catch point. another question does the turner rotate the egg 180 degrees . growing quail for game ranch sounds like a good deal. You can fit a lot in the GQ .and we all know you just love to hatch.
The rods drop into slots, and are about 1/8" diameter. They can be stacked to better support taller eggs. No way for the eggs to get stuck anywhere in this thing.

On the GQF, with quail egg trays, it will hold 1368 eggs for setting, but only 250 for hatching. The Polyhatch will hold another hundred.

Spent the night pulling assessing and tax data, DEQ wetlands data, zoning info.

11 of the 15 acres is designated wetland.

We are going out to see the property Tuesday evening.

One of the barns is an old dairy barn about 25 x 75 feet, the other is about 40 x 60.
