On a chicken note: Koritsa, my ornery teenage cockerel, has given me a wide berth today. This afternoon he looked at me funny and I pinned him with his beak to the ground and firmly held him there until he gave up. Now he won't come anywhere near me.

Sounds like my guy. He came after me once or twice, only I was quicker than he was. Now he'll run into the fence around the perimeter of the chicken yard trying to get to me, but if I go into the yard he keeps his distance.

Yes, it is. Still don't trust him and have committed to DH to get rid of one of the boys this weekend. I also have to put down my Legbar with the hurt leg. It's just not healing.

Need to make my mind up by Sunday. One more mis-step and it will definitely be him.

The man i "stole" my brinsea from finally contacted me. Said it always made that noise :-/ he negelected to tell Me. I askd him if its possible its still under warranty, no response as of yet. I worried that it was underhanded so i played it under handed and approched him Happilly that i had eggs set

Have you tried lubing it?
The warranty is only good for 2 years, and only goes into effect if he ordered it online. If he sold it for $250, I kinda doubt he did. I'm not fussing, I'm just letting you know how the warranty works. If you think there's a chance he may order another, then by all means go for it

Really? The warranty is only good if you buy online? I didn't know that!... probably because I bought both of mine online. Did you know that it's now a 3 yr warranty instead of 2?

Don't be bored, it must be beer o'clock by now. 
I use anything that has carbon that isn't an arm and a leg. come fall i will be loading up with leaves. even bringing bagged leaves from the side of the road that someone else raked up. they are free and dry out quickly. I read somewhere that someone made a drainage moat around their run to help run off. It may have been right here.

I dumped the coop liter into the run today!! So you just put all the raked leaves in the run? Do they flatten out? I'm just picturing the leaves being higher then my silkies!!
