She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

That's exactly what I'm doing. Making 14 of them
ETA: sold enough chickens this weekend to pay for the supplies

You may have done this already, but just in case:
Birds were still wasting feed almost as bad as before until I added a 2" extension (cut off the tube) to the "Y'. Forced them to reach far enough to get to the feed that they don't sling it out now.

I'm down to only the one in the last picture now.
Omg! Too funny! I kinda like it...looks like "flare".
We have a pip!
:yesss: awesome!!

So my hatch was SUPPOSED to happen Friday, today still nothing. It was DH idea to try another batch. What does everyone normally use to sanitize their incubators?
I just use bleach water.

I use oxine. What is going on with your hatch?

kind of looks like the OdoBan multi purpose cleaner I use.

Thanks I hope so too!

I love Odoban, lol... Oxine is definitely different though... just use bleach water this time and set out in the sun to dry... but I do recommend getting the Oxine for next time... it's great stuff and works really well... I throw a dribble in my lockdown water even... :)

What is oxine? Is it at the farm store? I was hoping to use some soap, bleach, vinegar or something I have at home.

As for the eggs I dont know what happened. I am thinking either they weren't fertile or my thermometers were off. Kinda bummed not a single one from my first incubation attempt. We had duck eggs for breakfast yesterday and saw my first "bullseye" so maybe something from the next batch.
I just use bleach water.

I have a few fresh eggs for the incubator, after I clean it of course. Plus going to try and get some other eggs from DH coworker.
All ducks?

Did you ever try the brinsea disinfectant?

Did you candle the other eggs? Did they never develop?

My landlord handles all the yard work. And he let the walkway behind my house grow weeds so high that you couldn't even see the walkway anymore. Then he just whacked them down. So I raked it all up today and put it in the run. Is this over-kill? Will they peck and press and down. I threw whatever worms I found in there too.
