She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Omg, I see his beak, he's starting to pip a little more

This is amazing!! I'm easily amused, can you tell? Lol
Awesome! I think we're all guilty of being amused by this. It's very addicting.

It NEVER gets old. It's truly the miracle of life, 21 or so days from breakfast material to cheeping, living being.

It gets more and more interesting the more I learn about it. They develop so quickly, too.
I want to do that experiment!!! Test it and see what we get!!! That's funny only one worked!!!

Except when I quoted you....they all worked!!!

My office assistant, Baby.

She is growing in Narragansett feathers. She's a pretty little girl, and the only turkey who has ever been in my house this long.

She's getting too big to let her sit on my head, but she's perching while I work late tonight.

I told her she was too big to sit on my head, but old habits die hard.

That is the most adorable thing I have seen all day.

Awwwww, I've never really liked turkeys but she's cute!!
Oh, I'm sure they grow on you. In Walnut's case, it's literal!

Look who finally decided to pay rent. Our Golden Cuckoo Marans. I hope they get a bit darker.

Woo-hoo! Freeloader no more!

Talk about adorable.
I have turkeys and chickens and I love my turkeys. They love people. They interact. They are curious and creative. Nap time.
I have to have a turkey now. Lol!!! That's just too cute.

Nice!!! I like that color. So.....I just found out through my hubby that I will be hatching some ducks this spring....from Wood Ducks!!! I am super excited!!!!

Wood ducks are beautiful!  Those and Canvasbacks and Pintails are like works of living art!

He has a friend in Mississippi who raises them and they are going to send me some eggs to hatch out!!! I guess I will have to start those a week before I start my chicken eggs. I will be asking lots of questions...seeing I have not yet been able to hatch a duck egg. I only got 2 as extras but they both quit by day 10.

send some of that to Rayvn it will open those sinus's right up

bet you can't smell the poultry pens tonight
gig.gif

The poultry pens normally don't stink, or at least not to an offensive level to non-farmers. Unless they are thawing after winter, or after several days of straight rain, or an outbreak of cocci, it's really not offensive. Visitors comment that they thought chickens smelled a lot worse.

I don't find skunk smell overly offensive as long as it's not ON me. It's part of the smell of the countryside that I grew up in. But I will peg the bugger if I get it in my sights.
