I know, I was really hoping he would make it but I think the poor little guy was doomed from the beginning. I'm not so sure I want replacment eggs from her now. I don't want to be out of the time and money it took to get these (they weren't expensive at all but the gas it took to get there and home was and it was a LONG ride) but I don't want to go through this again either. The hoping and waiting and watching 1 quit right after the other. I don't know, maybe I should just cut my loses and save the cost of shipping that I'd have to pay to get replacements (I'm not making that drive again just to get more bad eggs)

I agree with lazy gardener, the hens will be older, and hopefully the bedding will be cleaner. If you like the parent birds, it's worth a shot.

Wow! I'm not big on the solid white, but that one is some kind of fabulous!!! :love They are all lovely! Did you say how old they are?

Those aren't whites, lol... Silver/Splash... and they are very pretty...

The Snowy pair is this years hatch and I thjnk the rest are last years hatches...

Lady Grey's mom is in the last pic, the 3 greys... we're not sure which one, but I think the far left one is most likely...

I can see some splash on the rest, but the 4th pic looks all white on my phone. Adorable little bill. :)

She's light but hard to see in pic... and whites have yellow bills...

They'll both throw blue bibbed if mated with a Snowy male... :)

Ah! I didn't know that about the yellow bills. Maybe that's why I don't care for the whites lol. I've got alot to learn if I decide to hatch some. :)

I guess the bills are technically more orangey than yellowy, but you know what I mean, lol...

I'm still learning... the day I stop is the day I die... :D ;)

My son decided to make his own byc account! He even made his own thread in new member introduction. That kid cracks me up! I asked if he wanted to come say hi on our thread here and he said "that threads big enough, tell your friends to come to mine and say hi"....so if anyone has a sec, drop by and say hello.

So should I mark the eggs Ravyn's sending me next week and rotate them 90 degrees as well as tilting my Octagon?
I just had to share this. We were working on the coop, and Dudley is lazy, so he climbs into the mini-truck to lay down. Then a hen climbs in with him. He laid right there and didn't even mess with her. She climbed all around him, I think she even stepped on him. I was so proud of him!

You should put that in the Caption Contest!
Exhausted but am home again...

Burn is still MIA...

10 new Calls... 3 grey ducks (one is Lady Grey's mom), 2 Snowy drakes, 2 Silver/Splash ducks and a pair of juvie BQ Snowy's...

Hi, everyone...
frow.gif

No, Amy, bad paper lady! Can't have calls! Too loud for how the neighborhood is set up! Even if the girls are now in 4H and it would be really easy to talk the younger into cute itty bitty ducks... (Birds registered with 4H have a built-in loophole in the zoning.)

Amy, back away from the adorable ducks...
