Hey, you only have 1 bator or 2?

I only have one. That holds 48 eggs. It's the LG 9300 but I got a new thermostat/heater for it with a fan so it sits at 99.5. I am happy with it so far. Now I don't have to worry about frying my eggs anymore!!!!

Just remember, untested fertility... was low last time I checked, but hoping it has gotten better...

Yep... someone else's hen went broody, so I said I'd give a shot to see if fertility has gone back up at all...

I just set a bunch late Fri for a Halloween hatch to test fertility too, lol...

Was getting ready for bed last night and heard peeping... opened the bator and found this... totally forgot about the Silkie egg from the quitter broody, lol...

Hatched out perfectly in the turner at 25% humidity...

I got some silkies from a woman a while back and she told me she never messes with humidity at all, she doesn't ever add any water and she doesn't worry about locking down either and all hers hatch with no problem. Well, not all but she said about 90% of hers hatch with no issues. I can't get anything to hatch and I obsess over heat and humidity, go figure

An update on my HORRIBLE eggs: I candled again lastnight (from inside the bator of course) and 2 more had quit This Is SSSOOOOO frustrating

Out of 30 eggs I set 29, I'm down to 13 now (1 of which looked like it was also quitting) and I haven't even made it to lockdown yet.

ETA: And the woman I got them from won't answer my emails. I've emailed her like 6 times to let her know how things are going and I've asked her several times now if she does end up replacing them could she ship them and she won't answer me.
