That's ok! He's actually my favorite cockerel! He's the only one mating the girls, he's friendly with me, he breaks up any confrontations that happen in the flock and he's always on the lookout for predators. I just wish he was the "right" color for where I'm headed. That's also why I would love for you to have him! I want this one to have a good home. I have 3 others boys besides him. One thinks he's a girl and acts like a girl. The other is possessed with hormones and the extra handsome one attacks me! I would love to find a way!

you know what I think is I would box up my chicken walk in the post office and ship it where ever I wanted to send it . they can't keep people from coming across the broader. but they can keep us from selling our chickens. to each other .

That's funny. We found an old catalog at work from the 70's. Our products used to be available with Green Stamps. It was cool to look through that old thing.

I just made sure it elevated off the ground on a really level surface, far enough under the lean-to so it doesn't get rained on. There's not much to them so I can see how some buyers may have got lemons, and I'm sure they won't handle being dropped, but it keeps my waterer ice-free all winter and I don't have to worry if I leave for the weekend - or for the week.

you do have the metal waterier right the metal base is for the metal waterier. and no mater what you use electricity is involved .

Yes I have metal waterer. One if the Q&A on amazon asked about plastic, and someone said they used plastic, but I wouldn't do it. And I think it doesn't stay on all the time, I guess it has a temp sensor. Is that right Friday?

Edit - just read the description again. Thermostatically controlled.

Yes, it only comes on when it's cold enough (I'm sure it's not a high tech thermostat inside, but it's been working for me.)

I have a 3 or 5 gallon metal waterer on it.
