So, it is officially colder in upstate NY than in Alaska today. At 7 am it was 35 degrees BELOW zero. Which is 10-15 degrees lower than the reports projected. All my chickens are still alive so far. My big boy, Willie has some frostbite on his big ole comb that I am having to take care of, other than that, they don't look too bad, but I feel so bad for them. Gonna treat them today to try to make up for the cold. Maybe some nice warm oatmeal.

I am so glad I live in the south. I had my fill of cold in the uk, I don't think it got that cold though. I even have my stove on down here I would not survive up there. Brrrr!

Dear goodness! You need to move closer to me... if we get cold it's dry cold and snow usually doesn't stay for more than a few hours... feathered feet get mucky, but you don't have to free range. Come on over!
