She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

This black hen, Lucy, was my very first assisted hatch. She was extremely malepositioned. Her little toes were up over her beak and wiggling at me when I made the pip hole bigger. She's a great egg layer and has a adecent personality. One of my favorite looking birds. My silkie/polish mix. I t hink that is the silkie that I hatched. The other three I took sight unseen from my sister and then wished I hadn't. Not sure if I am going to keep them or move them out. My Prissy. My second favorite girl. She's just so pretty. :)
They are very pretty.

Size perspective is hard in chicken pics! Lol

2 pics above the NN, not the solid white chick, the one above that looks like the silver duckwing pattern in my OEGB girl. What is she?
(the grayish one with black/white neck feathers)
It is! I take a pic of my banties to show how wmall they are and they look normal. So I always try to take a pic of them by my standards so you can actually see how small they are.

Are you talking about these:

LG, on the selling chicks...

I've found mixed breed chicks don't sell quite as well as purebreds. They do better if they're colored eggers than mixed breed brown eggers, or if they have beards, feathered feet, extras like that.

However, if you grow those mixed breed chicks up to point of lay, folks don't seem to care if they're pure or mixed

. The colored eggers and extras still sell well, but a point of lay mixed brown egger sells pretty darn well also. I don't know if you have space to grow them up to 4+ months, but if so that's how I'd do it.

Hard to do on mobile, but I think I mean this one

Yep, I got the right one. What is that one?
That's the same one as in the pic I asked in.

She was from my pullet hatch. Willy is the dad (my mix roo that I have no idea what he is):

And the momma is:

The white one in the front. She is part silkie (has 5 toes) and I don't know what else. She has a light rust color on her chest, my sister (who I got those particular eggs from) said possibly red sex link???

The hen you asked about also has the 5 toes.

I love Willy. He's big, he's great with the girls, not aggresive, but I may be moving him out this summer. When they are free ranging he likes to go after Elvis. Elvis can run faster though....lol Looked out the other day and they were running circles around my van. By the time I got out there to scold Willy and send him back to his coop they were both out of breath! Thankfully Elvis is faster cause Willy outweighs him at least double. I see pure bred hens that are white with that black design around their neck, never knew what breed, but mine are mixed. Some of them are very pretty, a handful are blah.....lol And TY, I like the assortment.
