It's a day earlier than the tracking info said, but we expected it today since they were only coming from 5 hours away and she mailed them Monday afternoon. They hit Syracuse at 5 last night and that's 2 hours from me.that is a day early?

So Ruby did an awesome job at packing! Not a single crack. I walk into the post office and there it sits on the counter on it's side. WIth big ole arrows saying this side up. I wanted to smack the clerk and ask her if they could read. But, I didn't. I figure if I did and ever had eggs shipped again they'd be scrambled next time.
Anyway, I unpacked and candled. On many I had a hard time making out the air cells, she did an awesome job on humidity control during storage. Some I could make out the outline of the cell, but not the actual "air". A new experience for me. There were a few "wobbly" cells I could make out. 3 or 4 already show saddling, but they were all in the same corner of the box so I'm guessing that corner got nailed. BUT I did not see any that were totally detached and moving around. So I am very hopeful. I am quite pleased with the package. They are sitting and resting. I plan on setting them tonight at midnight, that gives them 14 hours of rest. I'm going to put them in a cut down carton at midnight and not turn them tomorrow. Friday I will start tilting and this weekend I will candle to see if all air cells are firmed up and if there is any development and if so I will lay them down for the rest of the incubation. Depending on what the saddled look like I might leave then upright.
Thank you @RubyNala97 !!!!!!
I am half excited and half nervous as heck.Yeah!! This is going to be a fun one to follow!![]()
bought a cheap FI still-air styro. But it was a strategic purchase! ONLY to be used as a hatcher for staggered sets. (or possibly for the days while hatching in the Brinsea?)
Sorry, didn't continue the story yesterday, life got in the way![]()

Awesome! Have you set in your new Jay-machine? Or when are you going to?
Welcome to the PURPLE team! :yiipchick
That's nice!
So far, so good.Sounds like they had great packing, were fresh eggs and had a relatively short trip. All good signs!
