Ducks frist hatch where outside in elements cold and hot mix. At the end very rainy. We decided to take the dog house from chickens and give it to ducks to make a better environment for duck eggs. It's gets very hot hear in summer over 100 temps on a good summer day. We get cold spells in winter. It doesn't snow but still gets frost bit.

Good luck!!!!

So first hatch is over!!! 9/14 hatched. 3 of which were shipped and the remainder were my SLP. So one came out looking like a GLP!!!! So I am super excited to see it start feathering out! So with my 3 shipped eggs that hatched out of 4.....well that's 75%!!!!!

So the Silkie batch is doing great. Candled today which is day 15 and I still have 14 going strong!!! My 2 SLP I threw in for good measure are also growing strong. So Monday I will be locking down 16 total if day 18 candle looks good. :fl. I can't believe I made it this far with all these Silkies!!!!

Did you see the pics of the ones I hatched?? Oh my gosh, you are in for a treat with these silkies, they are gorgeous!

ETA: Congrats BTW on the hatchers!
