She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Well went out to eggs today to had stuff leaking out. One all yolk and the other one had a little duck in it that had died in the shell it looked like it was very early stage but not as early as the other one I saw. So yes they our fertal just have to figure out why it's premature death.

I think I want to research the endanger listings. And look intwo that envirment and life style. And choose a ducks turkeys and chicken from list.

Do you mean hatching difficult or rare breeds/varieties?

Admirable idea, but it's most effective if you master common ones first. I only hatched 100+ chicks and 50+ turkeys this year, and I still haven't tried any "rare" or exceptionally valuable birds (no $100+ chicks, no $20 apiece eggs). I do have several on the threatened list, though.

Here is the current list. https://livestockconservancy.org/index.php/heritage/internal/conservation-priority-list#Chickens

I want to try and futcher a home for them. I appreciate life and what it means and protecting it when I can. If they hatch eggs that's great to. It's just the animal lover in me. I want to one day be able to open a petting zoo for children and a place where family's can come and relax and be able to pick from the garden.and by a large piece of land. But that's down the line. Some family's don't have enough money to eat well or be able to know about animals or have any time to be a kid or family or entertainment at all. Go back to older times where family's didn't have tv radio computers. Family's worked out in fields and didn't have a lot but where greatful for what they had and the hard work that was involved . There was no movie theater or arcades or casinos or a lot of gangs drug or violence ect I want to teach my son old ways. Church and animals and love. To make to grow. Not take .

The reason those are rare or extinct is that they had special environmental adaptations and could not survive the encroachment of human habitat and ways. One, you will not be able to acquire any of those ducks, or their eggs. Two, the requirements of those are such that you could not replicate them where you live, and if you could, you couldn't contain them in it.

Your goal is admirable, but not practical. Farming is not all about animals. Planting beans and watching bean plants grow, then a few weeks later eating what you've raised, is every bit as rewarding.
