She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I had ordered those 10 humidity pads. Unfortunately I am not able to do pictures at these time . My partner got in trouble at his job for allowing me to take so much pictures on his work phone. And I not able to store any more on my phone or the computer there's not enough room and it loses information . It's old.
I wouldn't have wasted the money, what's the pads for? What is the purpose of you getting them? There's SOOO many other things you could have used that's probably less expensive.

What ?the sponges get really nasty and they disintegrated in incubator all the time.
Well I wasn't going to say Sponges, I don't use sponges because bacteria can very easily attach itself to them. YEK,

NOPE, there's TWO things that I have used, In the past I have use a Cup of water and I would put a paper towel in each cup, I keep adding cups until it reaches the correct humidity, HOWEVER, I will ONLY use this procedure for LOCK DOWN, again, I never add water to my bator until then.

RECENTLY, I have made a change to that. Now I will add WATER CRYSTALS, YEH, WORKS GREAT, Keeps the humidity where I want it and gets it up there FAST, I don't have to keep adding cups after cups after cups. I simply just add a few water crystals on a dish or a plastic top and each week I check it to make sure my humidity is where it should be.. Now I can keep my humidity at 20 to 30% and when lock down arrives, I add a more water crystals until it's ready... It takes about five days to a week for the water crystals to vaporize and the humidity start changing, at that time all I need to do is add more..

It's all Natural, there's NO chemicals to worry about, doesn't do any harm. they use Water crystals for watering your plants..

you can buy it at home depot. not sure if Walmart sells it or not.... Alls you do is add One teasspoon (a little more if its not fully crystalized) to a quart of water and in an hour you have water crystals. Of course, the directions say wait Two hours.. i usually let mine go over night.. It's easy as pie. What do you think about that???

So it says water cyrstals on package and I look in garden. Is it made by miracle grow. My machines would spike on a gallon of water. I usually use the bottom of the incubator the top is usually so full of eggs. I do 44 at a time in incubator. So you put it in the distilled water you get at market and you add it with your sryringe or squirt bottle depends how much time I have on lock down. The other one I just pour a little squirt bottle of the water and pour it around the turning try's. I've tryed to use paper towels before but it would spike.so I stoped. I have rocks and penny's at the bottom of incubator . The humidy sponge was to replace the two sponges at bottom of the incubator . And maybe put one in the fence area of dog house. So if it got low I could help . It high in back and low in from in dog house on temp and humidity.

We have bottom for corners of it taped off or it will all pour out onto the carpet. And the diaper changer that used to be my sons it works good as a table. There up on 2 by 4s . For air. It still gets air flow in and out on both . Rocks will not hold it shut for water not to pour out.

I've been looking at the hatching and brooding book from library Gail damerow on the whAt went wrong section. That's a lot of possibility of failers

Interesting! I love new ideas! I think I was given a couple orchids that were floating in something similar. They were these round little balls, looked like marbles and they would start shrinking when you needed to add water. I'm going to look into this. My question is, do you add them to your water wells under the eggs or do you put them in a cup above the floor where the eggs are or in a cup in the well? My last hatch I took a small cup and added marbles to it (so chicks wouldn't drown), filled it with water and left it in the corner on the tray with the eggs. It's to hard to pull the whole tray out (with pipped eggs and chicks) to keep adding water to the wells under neath.

Candles my 30 eggs at day 5. A full 13 clears tossed, looks like the boys aren't hitting the mark real well.
guess you just don't always know if they will be fertile. I had someone give me a couple extra chicken hatching eggs with some duck eggs I bought locally and I was kinda bummed they were totally clear.
