It will not solve ants taking diatomaciuse earth out they climb. There attracted to there food and waste.

You are correct that removing the DE won't get rid of ants,BUT having it there ISN'T GOING TO HELP IF IT IS WET. DE only works if dry. If you can't get it dry, you are simply wasting your money.

Also, stop using a sprinkler in the coop. The ducks will get in the pool if they need to cool off.

Usually the simplest answer is the correct one. You are over thinking and over meddling. Simpler is better.

I don't know what it was, but heat did not kill that bird. There are a billion other more likely possibilities that are more likely. Spending over $100 on a sprinkler for the coop is a waste of money. I live in North Florida where normal summertime temps are near 100 with humidity to match. It's already been getting over 90 regularly, I know a little about heat.

Sometimes things happen that you can't do anything about.
