shed construction kit

the box is just a box of brackets and the directions. the wood will be costly, but they make the most use of the sizes and cuts. in the 7x8 there are 14 4x8 sheets of plywood which is quite a bunch. in the 8x14 shed there are 26 sheets of plywood!

I just looked at the one from Northern Tool, and from the comments, it sounds like the instructions are poor. That would be a problem for me, as Im a beginner.

I think I'm going to order one, thanks for posting this. I have some drip edge, shingles and etc. left over from building my house.

How tall are they?

If the boxes are just brackets and plans, why are they so heavy?

I think the height would be up to you, but the width would restircted to the 7 ft as per the dimensions due to the angles of the braces. It has 24 steel angles and 12 base plates and thats what makes it heavy (10 lbs) I believe. I also have some scrap wood, shingles, felt and other stuff left over from a remodel on my house. I dont have much carpenter experience so I will have to take it slooooooooooow! Ground shiping is 3-9 business days.

Am I understanding this correctly. You get base plates and brakets only???? with instructions.

That is my understanding of it. I am hoping this will go quickly and easy when I get the time to do it!

Check into some of the wood storage buildings at other lumber suppliers. They sell kits with all the material you need to build. The roof trusses come premade. I found that when bought as a kit you save big money. I couldn't purchase the material in these mentioned kits for the price of a complete kit. I built mine, 1.5 story 12x24. I completely insulated mine for warmth and cold. More storage for the buck. John
