So in my other thread about my baby chicks being bulliedto death, I said I was going to turn an unused shed into a coop. I figured I would post my progress.

Here's the shed before I started and as I started clearing it out.

The place was spider city, so after I cleared it outa bit I bombed the heck out of it.

All that's left is a good cleaning, remove the freezer, and build a bunch of nesting boxes. They better like it, because it's taken a lot longer than I wanted it to lol.

Good start! I'd add 1"x4" boards, screwed in, over the hardware cloth to attach it better. Also, another opening at the back of the coop up high, again, boards screwed in over the hardware cloth staples.
Also secure the chicken door better, as a raccoon can open that latch.
If you have the roosts set up so they can be moved easily, it makes coop cleanout much easier.
Is the unseen front where the big door is? With a big window opening? That would be good too, especially on the south side of the building.
It's nice and big!

Made some more progress. I added another latch on the chicken door, filled holes with caulk, made a simple nesting box set up, and sprayed the wood floor under the roost bars with rubberized paint. Once it's all dry and cured the coop is basically done. Did a bunch of cleaning too. I still need to add boards to the backside of the hardware cloth, but I ran out of materials. Later, we'll add a run outside the chicken door.
