Sheesh! What is it with silkies?!!!

It was in the high 20's when I went out this morning and there she was snuggled in the nest box. I let everybody else out and then reached in for her and she growled at me. Brat! I tossed her out with the others and she tried the big fake out- "Lalala... I'm just being a happy little hen out here with the others...". All the while she was inching back towards the nest. When I came back through filling feeders I noticed she was missing again. Yup. Back in there sitting on an empty nest. Out with thee, silly broody! When I left she was trying to nest in the shavings by the coop door. I nudged her back out with her growling all the way. I wanted her to be broody in about a month, not right now!!
I guess I need to drag out Broody Jail and be done with it.
