They're pair bonded, just like my other Snowy pairs... try separating them ever and she will scream bloody murder, no joke! :gig

But I understand what you mean... :)

It's the most common in Calls than other breeds, but it can and does happen in ducks...

My Snowy line is notorious for permanent pair bonds... Bella is in the pic and her mom, Cuteness, screamed non-stop when her mate, Dex, was taken by an owl... the only way I could get her to stop was wrap her in a towel and sleep with my arm around her... if I moved my arm, she continued screaming... thankfully, Dex somehow got free of the owl and came waddling home fast in the morn... dunno what I would have done if he hadn't!

It is best to cook the eggs first, either scrambling or frying, especially if you are giving eggs from another chicken from another farm or even flock to them, due to the risk of diseases and even parasites. But since she was the one who laid it, I just cut it open and emptied it into the food tray for her to get the nutrition back.

It is why I always boil the quail eggs I give them.
