We currently have 6 pullets, all different breeds but the same age (23 weeks). Laying started about 3 weeks ago and now at least five are laying good eggs. The Copper Blue Maran though is laying shell-less eggs - up to twice a day. She often lays one outside during the day and then another from the perch overnight.
All the girls are free range and have plenty to eat in the coop along with oyster shell. I don't know if the Maran has a virus or if she's just not fully developed. Most of all though, I don't know what to make of the 'overproduction'.
Does anyone have any ideas?
