My 18 week old Australorp (Serena) laid her first eggs today but there was no shell on either egg. Feeding Purina Plus Oyster Strong plus hard boiled eggs and mealworms, free ranged daily. I feel so bad for her as her 2 coopmates seemed to stay by her side all day. Is this normal for first eggs?

It's perfectly normal for pullets new to the laying game to lay such eggs. It can take a while until their egg-laying bits and bobs act in sync - nothing to worry about in the least.

Yeah, not unusual to get funky eggs from new layers.
That one there, with two softies tied together, is pretty rare tho.
They can act pretty weird when a softshell is coming down the pike,
then back to business as usual after it finally emerges.
