Shelless egg! Should I be concerned?

Nutrena was buy one get one free at our feed store
I'm always Leary with feed at such a big discount. What is the MFG: date on the bottom left of the Analysis tag? on the bottom of the bag.
The feed is also 18% Protein compared to the Flock Raiser's 20%. The All-Flock is a pellet. Was the Flock Raiser?
When switching feed it's best to mix previous with new to acclimate to the new. I mix 50/50 for two weeks then I just add new feed to the feeder.
I had feed go bad last month, egg production dropped nearly in half. I checked the feed, it was not damp or moldy. But I took a whiff and it had a strong smell. The feed was 5 months 1 week past MFG: date. The feed was stored in my house. Feed stored in a shed or coop will spoil before that. The new feed I bought had a fresh grainy smell when I opened the bag. GC

I will double check the date when I get home. I think I did at the store, but I could be mistaken. They are both crumble (the ducks seem to like crumble better). I have switched feeds before without major problems, but maybe they don't like this one so much, I don't think they've ever had it, or as you said, maybe it's an old batch. If the date on the unopened bag is old I will certainly return it. We've gone through most of the one bag already with the number of birds I have.

Yep, that's as fresh as I can get most of the time.
One time I did get a bag of feed milled 5 days before I bought it. The feed store called me and said the feed just came in.
I've never seen a buy one, get one, sale on feed around here.
Last week I went to the feed store and saw a bag of feed with two big holes taped over with clear tape, you could see the feed inside. Discounted? NOPE. GC

Considering I bought it over a week ago it was very fresh. Now that I think about it, it might not have been BOGO, but with the sale price, 2X40lb bags was equal to the price of one 50lb bag of Flock Raiser, so I felt like it was a good deal and I would go through it all fast enough with my flock size.

Update: Today I got my 3 eggs from my 3 actively laying ducks. All first thing this morning, all normal. Also the older ducks and the "ducklings" all seem to be much calmer together. No chasing, no nipping, no blocking the nest or the feeder, so I think everyone is settling in with the integration. I did remember something... before the shelless egg (maybe the day before, maybe 2-3 days, I'm not sure) there was an odd egg, an egg with lots of bumps that seemed to be extra calcium on the shell, an egg that was very rough to the touch. I feel this is all related and probably coming from the same bird.
