I live in Northern California Gold Country. Ive had chickens since i was born. I had a pet chicken in High School and would go out every morning and pick her up and she would lay an egg in my hand as I held her. Id go in and fry it up. Currently I have 25 chickens and roosters. I deliver eggs to friends in the area. They are super healthy with bright red combs. We have 25 acres and they are great at digging around the trees in the orchard and garden. I think theres only been a few years in the last 72 years I havent had chickens. I cant imagine life without them. Shelley Conrad
