She's a strange one

We picked up this hen at a farm rescue. We had lots of room so why not? But she is very odd. Small comb, spurs, a reddish color, and a small stature. We had no idea how old she was at the time but I believe she is laying now. I was thinking maybe she was a Wellsummer mix? Some kind of a game hen?

I agree with the others! Looks like a Buckeye. Got my fist Buckeye (Cincinnati - CiCi for short) last May and I LOOOOVE her. She had the brightest personality as a baby - always happy, always active and chatty and curious. Now she’s a very calm, friendly girl who will sit in my lap, tuck her head under my arm, and chicken-purr (sometimes). I will definitely be getting another someday if I am able. You are lucky to have yours .
