This would be her first egg. She's clucking like she's laid an egg bit no egg that I can find. Does she just practice clucking? Also she seems very interested in the nesting boxes I've fixed for them.

All normal. She's practicing her egg song, and playing house, getting ready for the big event. In spite of all of her practicing, that first egg may sneak up on her, and fall out in the most unlikely place. Have you put some fake eggs in the nest box?

Hi, welcome to BYC! :frow

Yep, she's practicing. Being interested in the nest boxes is an excellent sign that she probably won't try to hide a nest. One of my hens sang all day long.. and the egg snuck up while she was perched on my shoulder late in the afternoon and hit the pavement below. First eggs are so much fun, congrats! :celebrate

Yes A lady at Tractor Supply suggested I put at least one in each new nest. I'm so excited, its almost like Christmas

That Pullet Racket can go on for a week or more before an egg is produced.
Pullet Punks drove me nuts last year, they were loud and incessant.
Had me trotting out to the coop multiple times a day. SMH. :D
