Shetland geese

I'm getting Cotton Patch eggs now and starting to incubate. I plan to have some available within a month and half. They are the sweetest Geese in the world, in my experience. I'd love to get some Shetlands myself. Willowbrook is the Canadian breeder that got the bulk of Holderread's flock. I talked to them not too long ago and they aren't planning to sell any this year. But they do deliver to the Ohio Nationals which is pretty cool of them.

Apricot Valley got the other half of the Holderread flock and are also in CN and go to Ohio Nationals.

Thank you! Ohio National is right in my backyard, so to speak, so I'll be contacting them to see if they're bringing birds this fall.

I have Shetlands, I'm in Scotland where there are a few more around - still very rare though. They're difficult to breed; I set about 20 eggs last year (2021), 6 that I picked up from a breeder an hour away and the rest from my own geese, most were fertile and developed, but only one hatched and she died within hours. I then managed to pick up another two adult pairs from different origins than my own (mine came from Dumfries House which is Prince Charles's conservation project, the new ones originate from the Glenisla flock), so I'm hoping for a better hatch rate this year!
