I went to a different feed store today.
Now taking orders for baby chicks...less than $2 each for pullets....
2.25 for Ameraucanas.

How long before he notices the cheeping....

hmmmm... maybe a few guinea pigs strategically placed would sort of disguise the cheeping for a while... like till they lay eggs and he fully appreciates your forsight and thriftiness

I got 2 Delawares
4 amaraucanas
2 GL Wyandottes
1 SL Wyandotte
2 Welsummers
and a Turken!

They come on April Fool's day.

Should make a nice surprise for Husband.

costal farm gets their chicks in in about a month ! eeeeeeek ! i wonder what they will have !

i think im going to haveeee to go get one chick, its a tradition, dont need another chicken but everyear i try to get one from them

I think it will be blatantly obvious, unless he works nights like me........ If it does not appear right in front of my face it does not exist. Anyone who works nights will understand 12 hr shifts 2 on 3 off 3 on 2 off.

I am facing the same dilema with my wife. I have 25 coming in about 3 weeks. The kids and I made a order for a small variety of chicks, I cant wait untill she see's the Naked Necks that my five year old son picked. LOL
