Seth was about to reply when the entire ship shuddered violently, knocking them off their feet. Beofre he could shout "What in the heck was that?!?", a hail of 37mm cannon shells began tearing through the fuselage of the Liberty. They raked down the length of the ship and tore into the right engine, the communications array, and a few other things before the lone fighter broke-off and escaped; but there was one more thing the bullets tore into...Seth. One round exploded on the deck right next to his right leg, tearing open a large hole in his lower leg; another got a direct hit in his upper left arm, going all the way through the bone and all and out the other side. He had just enough time to yell, "Don't worry about me, Jadyn, I'll be fine; just get yourself and the others to safety!" Then debris from another explosion smacked him square in the temple and he blacked-out.
Connie, who had been standing nearby and had shoved Jadyn out of harm's-way, yelled to one of the crew members to get Seth to the Med-Bay quick. She raced up to the cockpit with Jadyn only to find that the pilot was dead, his body slumped over on the control panel in front of him. Luckily, the city was only a few miles away and the fighter had broken-off after one pass. Unfortunately, it was going to be darn-near impossible to bring the Liberty down smoothly. This was partially because the fighter had also launched a small EMP bomb before it bugged-out, which had hit near where Seth, Jadyn, and Connie had been standing and had done some serious harm to the flight control systems. Connie shoved the pilot's body out of the way and sat down in the chair; she needed to try to save as many of them as she could by not letting the ship crash straight into the ground. She was able to bring it down relatively softly about 5 miles into the more developed parts of the city, but the landing was still very rough.

Just for the heck of it, if you pretend that Anakin is Seth, Ahsoka (younger girl) is Connie, Aayla (blue-skinned older-woman) is Jadyn, Rex and Bly (the clone with blue markings, and the one with yellow, respectively) are Gabe and Dirk (respectively), and the other clones are regular crew members, it almost perfectly illustrates the crash. (except for the fact that the video is in a really big plain and our crash is in a bombed-out city) There were more survivors in this crash than in the video, but it will save me another 300+ words in this post. Just wanted to say this to show what each person did and what the crash looked like.

After calming down for a moment, Connie began to take stock of their current situation. They had no idea where they were, the ship was obiously not going anywhere, the communications were completely fried, and they had 2 men dead and 5 wounded, including Seth. She told some of the crew men who were alright and not busy treating the wounded to see what they could find in the cargo bay that was still okay. She didn't expect much because the bottom of the hull, which was were the bay was located, had taken the brunt of the impact when they crashed.
