Shamal got up and stretched his arms. It had been a long day yesterday, what with fending off the Vorlochs attacks, and Xennorgs in another area. The battles had been won, but it had tired them all out. He walked out of his cabin, and into the fresh summer air. The force field/hologram shimmered above his head. Deyona sat outside of her cabin, enjoying the summer breeze that wafted through the forest. “Some day, huh?” she asked Shamal. “Yep.” He walked over and sat beside her. A bird chirped in the trees, and flitted down to rest on Deyona’s shoulder. She reached up to brush the goldfinch, and it went into the acquiring trance. Whenever a person like them touched an animal, they could absorb their DNA into their bloodstream. And afterwards, become one. The bird flew off. And Deyona began to change, shrinking down to its size. She grew a small yellow beak, and grew yellow feathers all over her body. Her fingers formed together, and stretched into a birds wing. Her toes squished together, and then split into the three toes of a bird. She looked up at Shamal and spoke. <You weren’t expecting me to do that, were you?> she thought at him. In an animal form, you can only speak with your mind. Shamal smiled. “Of course I was.” She giggled in his head and flitted to his shoulder. “Come on, let’s go wake everyone else up.” He said, and walked over to the clearing in front of all the cabins.

"Coming!" called a sleepy Jadyn.
 
Nikki pounded on her alarm clock without opening her eyes. "Shut UP!" She grumbled. The beating soon hit the battery, shooting it out on the floor. "Good, now stay quiet." She then slipped her headband on as she brushed her silky black hair.
