Seth decided to try out the design of the new-and-improved Deep Endeavor. He climbed up into the cockpit and fired up the engines; they choked slightly and struggled, but then roared to life. The plane was now about 75 feet long, 20 feet tall and had Delta-shaped wings that gave her a 60 foot wingspan. Though she had the appearance and size of a bomber, she was as fast and nimble as a fighter; so Seth decided to class her as a Fighter-Bomber in his indecision. She had a set of twin vertical stabilizers with the elevators and a spot for a rear gunner in between them. Her wings held two of her engines close to the main body, while the third was located underneath and behind the cockpit. She had the capability to carry up to 6000 pounds of bombs or up to 20 air-to-air missiles in her internal bays and had under-wing and belly racks for 6 more missiles or 26 unguided rockets. Her proton engines could give her Mach 2.5 in-atmosphere while considerably more in space. She could be maned by only 1 if necessary, but her full crew would be: 1 Pilot, 1 Navigator/Bombardier, 1 Co-pilot/RIO(Radar Intercept Officer, handles the RADAR and locks-on guided weapons), and 7 Gunners; 1 for the tail gun, 1 for each waist gun, 1 for the ball turret on the nose, 1 for the ball turret on the belly, and 1 for each of the top ball turrets (1 forward and the other aft). Seth checked all the instruments and checked them again, making sure that everything was in the green. Once everything looked good, he eased the stick back and gently pushed the throttle forward. The big war-bird smoothly accelerated to about 300 mph and Seth started testing out her performance. He knew that there was a canyon very close to where the camp was, so he did his testing in the canyon. He knew from experience that the enemy had no presence in there at all and that his aircraft would be terrain-masked so they wouldn't be able to detect him. After about 20 min, he brought the ship back to the camp and touched her down ever-so-slightly on the ground. He backed her into a make-shift hanger made of a section of the cargo bay from the High Tide hidden in between some of the trees with a back and a retracting door added to it. He closed the door and began walking towards the cabins. I'll add the weapons systems tomorrow with James, he thought, but now I just need to get some sleep. He walked into one of the first cabins that he saw, already half-asleep, and just flopped down onto a mattress that had been placed on the floor near the door. He was asleep almost before his face hit the mattress. What he didn't realize at the time, however, was that this was Jadyn's cabin!

Seth was still asleep at noon the next day; he had been up until 1 in the morning fixing his beloved war-bird. There were voices coming from outside and, though he was still asleep, Seth was hearing and responding to them... well... sort-of. "Mommy... goway... I don wanna go to scool... the oder kids pick on me... leme lone..." A loud squawk from a startled hen outside woke him up very abruptly... "AHH, It's Not My Ferret!" he yelled involuntarily as he woke up with a start. It took a few minutes for him to fully wake up. When he did, he laughed at his own sub-conscious comment. He got up, stretched himself to loosen his stiff joints, and jogged to the river that ran right next to the camp. On the way, he looked back and noticed where he had ended up sleeping. Dang, not a very good almost-first impression. Once he got to the water, he took off his outer clothes and dove in. He washed himself off below the surface and, when he was done, shifted into an otter. Once he was out of the river, he shook himself and the water literally streamed off of him. Being an otter, his fur repelled the water like two magnets with the same polarity. Shifting back into a human, now completely dry, he headed back to camp to get some breakfast... or rather lunch.
