Shipped Egg Question some one please see if you know the answer

Does the Bull Eye look the same after in has been but in the bator? how about shipped egg does it look different then not shipped eggs? ok I have a customer that put my egg in the bator for 6 days said she did not see anything so she crack some open and did not see a bulls eye. I know my eggs are fertility because i have checked them my self. I have shipped them and they hatch I have checked for Bulls eye. and the bigest way i have chick in the nursery right now. I have a good roo to hen ratio two roo to 7 hens and they started laying this year so all in first year. i know it is not my bird. I told her she checked them to early. To wait at least 10 days before candling.

The best I understand is that as soon as you start incubating, they start changing. I wouldn't expect to see the same thing as in an unincubated egg.

I don't know what the problem is, could be several different things, but if she cracked one open and checked it she would have been able to see development by day 6.

She didn't see a bullseye because it was probably scrambled.

I don't believe the bullseye is always on the top of the egg when cracked open. It could possibly be on the bottom.

did she mention anything about candling them and seeing the air cell floating back and forth. it can be hard to see when they are new sometimes since they are so small but it would be noticeable with turning it all around.

i've cracked eggs open that appeared to have started and quit after a few days and were candled at around day 10 or so, and the the bulls eye turned into a 'halo' about 1/2 inch diameter. depending on how gently she cracked it may determine how well she saw it.

just tell her if she gets 50 % hatch on shipped eggs, thats a good hatch, po. can x ray and kill all embryo, could freeze, bubble wrap too tight can take oxygen away.. lots of factors... just wait and see her entire batch coming along after a few more days.. make sure she knows how to candle... did she let the eggs rest?? shipped eggs need to sit in about a 60-65 degree room still for about 8 hours to let air pocket settle, or it won't develop.. let me know if you need help w/ buyer.. as i ship eggs all the time!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure..shipped eggs are such a gamble...I know my fertility is dead on because I check with every eggs I eat and cook with ( which kills me knowing I could have gotten more chicks haha) but Thats the way I check-I use all my eggs-olives-EE's-silkies-to eat just to test for fertility...It may be possible to get a clear egg from time to time ( when candeling) because of shipping or there may be a hen the roo just doesnt mate. Like I have a trio of cochins in for a month now and I send out tester eggs with each shipment of eggs-Nothing yet! not fertile..So I cant send them knowing he may or may not be doing his job.AS for all my other chickies--oh yeah-fertile fertile fertile..I would say shipping does the most damage-I think incubating it also does a number on the bullseye..Whenever Ive cracked a 7 day egg open I dont see a bullseye I see a runny mess:-(

I would say if she wanted to check for bullseyes she should have cracked it the day they got there, not after incubating for six days.
