Shipped eggs coming from far away, is this ok

Hi All, just got this post and am curious - you consider Wisconsin to Texas too far to ship eggs?is there a rule of thumb or consensus as to what’s too far?
No not necessarily.
If they're coming from an experienced shipper then there shouldn't be a problem.

But you never know how the post office employees are going to be feeling that day.

Even if it’s a reputable breeder, they aren’t necessarily an experienced shipper.

I received some severely damaged eggs in the mail this spring from a very good breeder and licensed APA/ABA judge. :(
True.

@Texas Kiki, yes I was not going to buy from her at first but she was honest with me and gave me pics of her flock and coops, so I thought I might give her a chance and buy eggs from her. I did cancel my order but she actually recommended that I dont buy from her because her hen was taking so long:) i really appreciated that. So know I am looking for new breeder and I am having a hard Time finding some one, do any of yall know any d,uccle breeders. Thanks everyone, I appreciate it:):frow

I agree. I mentioned a very reliable d’Uccle breeder to you in the May Hatchalong thread. I strongly suggest you check her out.
Yes and thank you, I did try and get in touch with them on byc but I have not received an answer yet:) thank you for the recommendation.
