New to incubating bird eggs and could not tell much from candling my shipped chicken eggs on day 1. How many days in the incubator before they make it known that they are definitely bad? I'm on day 3 and worried because none of them smell yet, but they can't all have made it ok. Thanks in advance.

A trained eye can tell if an egg is started at 3 days, but I would suggest you wait at least a week. Longer if the shelles are dark. Yes shipped eggs should sit before incubating, but once they have started you can not pull them back out. Best of luck they still have a chance...Eggs will not smell unless they are rotten. An egg that is not developing is not rotten unless bad bacteria is growing in it.
