Shipped eggs VA to TX - worth it?

I am considering buying some showgirl/sizzle silkie hatching eggs on etsy.

I have hatched shipped eggs before, but not from out of state, so I'm wondering what everyone thinks.

Should I just forget about it? They'd be coming all the way from Virginia. I'm in Texas.

Any others have experience with out of state hatching eggs? I know shipped eggs already have a lower hatch rate but I'm hoping to hear everyone's experiences and/or opinions.

I hatched out some 8+ day old phoenix eggs one time. I think you'll be fine. I did it with a broody silkiest.

I recently shipped Coturnix eggs from NJ to the west coast, there was maybe only a 40% hatch rate, but it was record high temps.

I've hatched eggs all the way from Florida. Only got 2/12 to hatch, but I also didn't know that I was supposed to let them rest up right before starting to incubate them and I did actually have a 3rd make it to the inner pip, it just didn't make it out of the membrame

Honestly id be more worried about heat than distance right now since they might start trying to develope en route

Thank you to everyone who has responded! I didn't even consider the heat! I think I'll probably wait & get some in a few months, whenever the temps decide to "chill" a bit
