Shipped Eggs--Wait A While Before Setting Them?

I'm getting my first batch of shipped eggs this week and I think I read a while ago where some folks were talking about letting the eggs "settle" before sticking them in the bator. What's the tip on this--put them in right away or if not, how long before setting them in?

you would want them to set at least 8hrs before you but them in, That is what i was told on here i'm still new to this chick thing. sending you good vibes

I usually let mine set for 12 hrs or so just to get over the bumpy ride they must have had.....

Most do leave them sit overnight or at least a few hours but I haven't noticed any worse hatches from putting them straight in the bator versus letting them sit provided it isn't cold outside. Don't put cold eggs into the bator. They should be at least room temp.

just long enough so they attain room temp. I used to wait and tried not waiting, and to be honest have had WAY better luck with not waiting. If they are room temp when they get here, they go straight in. Good luck. Maybe split your hatch. Mark half and hold them back twelve hours, and put half in striaght away.... Then you can report back to us what happened.

I let the eggs sit for about 4-1/2 hours and just stuck them in a little while ago. I didn't want to wait till later in the evening so I can "babysit" until the temp stabilizes with all the eggs and I also didn't want to wait until tomorrow.

my eggs arrived at noon yesturday and i let them sit and turned them before bed and this morning at 7am after the incubator balanced overnight put them in. last time i put the eggs in after about an 2 hours of sitting... not such a great hatch everyone on here seem to say let them sit a little while 12 to 24 hours so I did this time around.
