If this is in the wrong area I apologize not sure what it would fall under.
When eggs are shipped or stored which end is suppose to be up, the small end or the big end? also should i store my eggs in the fridge (if fridge for how long are the good to stay in there) or on a counter while i wait for enough to put in the bator
Thank you
Susan

Put big end up. Don't put your hatching eggs in the fridge. You can keep them for at least 7 days before sitting them in bator before you start losing viability, however I have heard of eggs that are much older that have good hatch rates.

Big end up. But I have had better hatches from keeping my eggs in the refrigerator, I've kept mine in there for up to ten days.

Thank you both for answering I have some on the counter now that I collected this morning and the others are in the fridge. Maybe I will just experiment, mark them so I know the difference and see how it goes. Course I have to talk hubby into letting me set some as by the time they hatch and feather out it will be shilly willy to say the least!

Big end up. I leave the eggs I want to hatch on the counter or in the cool basement. Make sure if they are for hatching you rotate the cratons. I prop one side up then the other side. If oyu have a wine cooler you can also store your eggs in there.

If the are for eating I will leave them on the counter for a couple days then put them in the fridge.
