Shivering chicken

Thank you! With her limp I was just worried that she wouldn't be able to stand to much tugging (my girls are super duper curious).

I'll probably take it off for 2 hours in the afternoon to make sure she gets her dust bathing in.

I just checked the tracking number and the bra will definitely be here tomorrow!

One more question: how tight should i make it?

Great!!

At first, don't put it on really tight. Go put her on a bench or something with the bird facing away from you as you lean over her. Put the bra over the crop and draw up the top right corner strap over her shoulder and the left bottom corner strap under her left wing and lightly tie over her back. Then draw up the left top strap over her shoulder and the lower right corner strap under her right wing and tie over her back, all this in a criss cross pattern over her back. Don't over tighten, just enough so it is not loose. Put her down and see if she walks ok. Some chickens freak out right away and fall over, like a cat in a sweater. LOL If she freaks out, then just leave it fairly loose for an hour or so. If she seems ok in the next few mins, I would tighten it up so that there is enough pressure to support her crop and make a knot with each of these ties over her back to secure them. You are never going to tie it really tightly, but you want it tight enough to support her heavy crop and keep it from sagging. You will need to play with this and see how it goes. As long as the crop is no longer sagging and is being supported enough, it is tight enough. But you don't want it loose enough that it comes off or she gets stuck in it or something. You should be able to pull up on it over her back a bit, but not too much.

Keep us posted!!

The bra came! I'm debating though whether or not to put it on her today or wait for tomorrow. Right now its been raining and raining and it's very muddy. And tomorrow is supposed to be sunny! Should I wait until tomorrow?

You could give it a try on and see how she does with it. Then put it on later tonight so she sleeps in it.

Please keep us posted! :)

How is she enjoying her new bra?

I didn't get it as tight as I wanted it, but figure it will be fine until tonight when I tighten it more.

Is it ok for her feathers to be a little all over the place? I tried to get it on top of the feathers but some didn't make it. Does that cause her discomfort?

The other girls looked at it, pecked at it, and now just feel sorry for her lol
