Shivering chicken

LOL....If she sleeps in it, by morning she will be quite used to it, 24 hours from now, she won't even know she is wearing it. LOL

Try not to get feathers tied into the straps. I pull up on the straps as I am tying and tightening them. It could pinch or pull out feathers if they are tangled up in them. The cleaner you put it on, the better she will feel. But if it is loose now, it shouldn't bother her too much. When you go to tighten it next, see if you can straighten out the feathers a bit.

If you need me to put a bra on one of my birds as an example, I can take some pics of how it should look over the back and how much room I give over the back. BUT...you will have to wait until tomorrow when there is more daylight.

Let me know! :)

When I let her go after I tied it she fell right over! It was so funny!

The feathers aren't tied into the straps but some are lying over the top part of the bra. When I retie it I'm going to try to fix it.

I will also take some pictures of her in it after I've retied it.

For now though, she hates me

....see....just like a cat in a sweater!! Ha! Just leave it loose on her over night so she gets used to it. She will soon. It is really in her best interest for her health that she wears that thing to support her crop. Pendulous crops can kill birds, some faster than others. She really needs support on that crop for good health. If the crop isn't in too bad a shape, it may return back to it's normal size in several weeks or a month. Some do, some don't.

Let us know how she is doing tomorrow. Maybe mid morning you can try tightening it up a bit. Don't worry about disheveled feathers, as long as they are not pinched or being pulled out, messy feathers are fine.

Okay. I tried to tell her that it was going to help her, but all I got in reply was grrrrrr.

If it's not raining tomorrow. I'll tighten it up after her dust bath.

Last night she did not sleep in it. I was going somewhere and locking the girls up when she finally tangled herself or did something with it. I didn't have time to fix it so I just took it off. Anyway this morning was a lot easier! And now she barely even notices it.

Excellent!! She looks pretty sporty in her new attire!! :thumbsup

Keep us posted on her as the days go by. Hopefully after a few weeks or month her crop has shrank down a bit or to it's original size. Depends on how stretched out it actually got.

Occsionally you may need to hand wash the bra. Keep it out of the dryer.

I hope she does well, she sure is pretty!!! :)

Even though she's only been wearing it for a little over 24 hours, there has been such a change in her! She ran! And she never runs! She seems so full of energy. Last night she also slept on the roost which she hadn't been doing because it wouldn't support her crop. I'm calling this the wonder bra

Excellent news!! See, all she needed was a good amount of nourishment getting through her system. Sagging crops just cant push much food out and into the intestines. She wil be able to digest so much more food and she will feel way better!! This will definitely keep her warmer and healthier.

I am so happy for her!!:weee. :celebrate
