Hello I feel like I've been to this forum so much lately.
My flock had an accident yesterday afternoon, my mom's husky pup about 5 months ish old got into my pen and mauled 13 out of 20 of my Chickens. 2 pasted over night due to injuries I couldn't help. However o have a more pressing issue I'm afraid.
I have 2 hens Spotty (a speckled sussex) and Dodo (a small astrolop) and 5 roosters left. Most of the roosters seems fine and are clearly in shock but are eating and drinking one seems in more pain then the others but as I cant feel any injuries or and major wounds other then some cuts I assume its Grief mostly. But my hens Im worried about.
Dodo has ate a little and I've seen her drink a tiny bit I'm sure they do more as I can be out with them 24/7 but she wont let me get close enough to look her over she always runs and hides and I cant blame her but because of that fact I assumed she wasn't to bad off.
Spotty however won't eat or drink and im worried about her I offered her food with and away from the others, gave her chin scratches and get comfy on my lap and relax and do beak taps (i think them mean content from what ive read) she has no injuries from what i can see other than a small scratch but she just won't eat I know chickens grieve and I know she is along with the others but should I be worried? Is there anything I can do?
I introduce Poultry Cell to their water to help a bit and sprayed their cuts but she's the only one who won't eat or drink. What can I do to help them?
Pictures below of me checking her today and looking her over she looks so tired typically shes full of life was always one of the first to the feeders and treats also eating everything up she could.... she just mainly slept all day occasionally cuddling with the other hen but wouldn't talk or anything, I've never dealt with them having grief or shock this bad.
Sorry for the long paragraph honestly I'm still in shock and angry but I wanna help the ones left...
