For 2 years now I've weathered the chickens in, around, on, my property...NOT INVITED GUESTS! For the 2 years I've replanted, cut, purchased, plants and displays used throughout my yard. Over these 2 years, I've been called upon the even shoot, that's right shoot those chickens and roosters at their owner's request and even without their request for tresspessing and damaging those specific plants and displays. I also have two bird dogs, Pointer/Labs who have tolerated and even conversed with their ducks; lease the later have been killed off by predetors of the other kind.
I've resorted to shooting them; after many conversations with the local sheriff's deputies and even the sheriff..."shoot them if they are trespessing". I'd like to hear more on this; I've even looked up the livestock laws for the state of Missouri.
The neighbor is oblivious to their chickens. Free ranging is one thing but to just let them "run" is rediculous to say the least. Several times I've even been asked to get rid of them as they "just can't seem to keep them in" Your comments are welcomed, I'm quite tough-skinned, no longer get angry by what is left of their roaming, I do get concerned if in the future they are allowed to raise more and allow the same thing too happen.
Thanks
