Being a vet doesn’t pay much in money, but it pays to help the animals. I’m not a vet, and I don’t plan to be, but I do plan to be a farm animal breeder and create homeopathic natural remedies for animals so ppl don’t need to use antibiotics, which cause harm. Especially for chickens, when they have antibiotics you have to toss the eggs, but with a natural remedy, you won’t have to. I guess it’s essentially similar to a vet. Still very rewarding. Be a vet!

First of all, you're very pretty.

Second, vets do make a decent amount of money, especially if you work with a high dollar animal like horses or fancy pets in California. If you work hard in school now, you can get scholarships for college, plus grants. Or do it through the military for free.

Acting isn't a very realistic job goal, but if you're passionate about it, start auditioning for things, even if it's just the school play. There's usually a community theater too. Get your parents help to build up a portfolio and avoid shady people.

Check out Ag Discovery. It's a free 2 week summer camp for kids interested in vet or ag careers. You have to apply and get accepted, but it's a good time.

Follow your heart, sweet girl. You're the one who will have to do the work so choose what you really love. Either way there will be challenges, failures and tough times but if you're passionate you'll succeed!

I'm in school for vet tech right now. :) Just one more year left and I'll graduate. And I'm definitely not as young or you, or the typical college student. No reason you can't pursue your dreams at any time.

You may have heard the expression, "don't quit your day job." That's what it's about - acting, comedy, music, dance are all fields that take a lot of work and an incredible amount of luck for success.

Funny but true - the kid who played Charlie in the 1971 movie, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" only did the one role; he became a veterinarian and is still doing that today. it was his choice; he found the whole movie making scene a nice place to visit, but he decided he didn't want to live there.
