Should I be adding water to my ducklings food?

I am not using DE. Someone else said they add it to a mix. Wondered why.
As far as adding water to feed, I find that they get all the fines that way. Ie. less wasted food.
It's one of the reason I wet feed, too. Although lately I've just been scattering it so the chickens can scratch. The ducklings get wet food when they are very young.

You don't need to if he has access to water, but I personally wet all of my ducks' food, adults and ducklings. I like to ensure they are getting enough water and prevent them gorging on the dry and having it expand their crops too much once they do drink.

That may be silly of me, but I find it works well, and they do seem to prefer it that way.
I do the same! I used to feed dry, but there was more waste, and they wouldn't eat it slowly enough for it all to go down properly. They definitely prefer it wet and it works better for me.
