Haunted, just wanted to say that was a great link. Very informative. I know someone posted that they gave their goose a crushed calcium pill for humans, added into water. I'm thinking about doing that (just adding a sprinkle) as I do provide oyster shell grit, but in my opinion, my goose doesnt consume enough of it (and honestly, how can I know if she's getting enough calcium?!) and only during laying season. Is it ok if I do that as a supplement, or is the calcium pill only to be used in emergencies?
And GooseGirl, you mentioned that you looked into the possibility of giving a goose too much calcium, did you come across any negative effects?
(I apologize for asking this on your thread, Flockman, but I thank you for bring egg-binding to my attention)
