should I be giving my chicks vitamins?

hi I do use the medicated feed because the medicated feed is dosed with Amprolium which helps combat coccidosis. The probotic although it will help put good bacteria into the gut does not fight coccidosis. The probotic is more of a all over health benifit. but while very young the medicated feed can help prevent coccidosis with the Amprolium in it.So I use both. They won't interact with each other. I just got a new jar of probios myself for my chicks that are coming up. :) After using it you will notice a nice difference in the stool and shouldn't have issues with pasty butt or loose stool! Because they are different things yes I do still use medicated feed. Hope this helps.

Hi I just got a new bottle from pure poultry . com. once on their site type Probios in the search options bar. Then go to the bottom of the page where you will see a link, click the link, then you can buy it from that page. You will love this product!! I will send you a pic but ALL the packaging is alike and that's confusing because there. is probios for horses, probios for cats, probios for cattle,ECT. you want to make sure it's Probios for poultry.easiest way to do that is to buy the Probios from a poultry site like https//:www.purepoultry.com.or any poultry store that sells it. I will attach the picture now.Hope this helps! I had to get my new jar for my new chicks that are coming! it helps the chicks a lot and they won't get pasty butt anymore! I give it to chicks and adults alike. One jar lasts a good long time because you use so little. You will love it!!

Hi, I've been searching all over for dosage after a long harsh winter and a Corid round. It says put 1/2 tsp per bird............So for one coop that's 10 teaspoons in the water for 20 birds. How much do you use for yours and what is a good maintenance dosage etc? I got a 5 pound container of it.
Thank you!

I don't use that much. I'd use 1/2 tsp per waterer. It's always worked really well that way for me. Their directions seem like way to much. I've had wonderful results doing the 1/2 tsp per waterer. Hope this helps. You will actually see a positive difference in their stool with using the 1/2 tsp per waterer. :)
