I have 4 chickens, but one of them has a bare patch on her bum/belly. (The spot is down a ways from her vent, but you can see it when she's walking around.)
I'm wondering if she's just being picked on (I noticed a small scab next to her comb awhile back) or if it's something else that I need to be worried about.
I know that lice/mites can cause this too, but she's the only one out of the 4 that is missing feathers like this. Their coop is due to be cleaned out here anyway, so I was going to get a chicken safe pest spray anyway (I figured better safe than sorry)
Should I just keep an eye on this spot? I tried to get a good look at it yesterday, and I didn't notice any little bugs or anything...but it's hard to get these girls to sit still long enough to get a really good look
TIA!
