This is my first time hatching quail and I'm on day 17 (well officially it will be at 9pm) of coturnix eggs and nothing is going on. I read in so many places that most are early or pipped by now. Guess I just need some reassurance that there is still time and not to worry, it's still early. I know with chickens they say not to worry until day 24 or 25, but I never had any go over 22. Hope I'm just being impatient.

Yeah, just hang in there for at least 4 days past the due date. If the temp was running a tad low, then the chicks developed at a slower rate and can hatch late. I think we have all panicked on our first hatch waiting for that magical moment. Good luck and I hope they start hatching soon!

Be patienet women take 9 months waiting and we dont even have patience for 18 days lol
haha seriously! I am actually 7 months pregnant now which I think is making the waiting for these little guys even harder. so much waiting going on in my life :)

Aww congrats! What day are you on for hatching? I have one chicken egg that I had to take from a broody hen last night because she left the the nest, that is starting to rock in there, but absolutely nothing from those little ones...driving me crazy! Come on babies!!

Thanks! I am on day 22 with 14 Bobwhites so they're not past due but no movement here either and I am so eager to know what is going on in there! Someone did say not to worry about no movement so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt but It would be great to see any signs of life! Good luck with your little ones :)
