Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

You didn't factor in the Roger factor. Roger would break one egg. Eat another egg. Convince a couple of them to go swimming in the water dish and drown. Teach two of them to lay eggs on the poop board and then take turns pooping on them. I would have three peacocks screaming for pie, instead of just Roger. Two would think she is cool and turn out like her. Thanks friend for looking out for me.
Now who's blaming Roger for everything????

Seems like, according to chicken math, OK can get four more hens so he can have a even dozen eggs per day, so that means four chicks in spring. Now, if he lets his hen go broody, she can have eight eggs, because some will be cockerells, actually, she can have ten eggs for an eighty percent hatch rate, that will equal out to four laying hens this time next year. Sound about right? See OK, I AM just looking ahead for you! :)
If we're talking chicken math, here's my figure. 5 hens(origionally)-1 (died)+ 3 more (turned into 5) =9

maybe it's time to eat a bucket o' chicken in front of them...? one egg...

maybe... Just one. From a flock of 9!! I made them some more peanut butter and scratch cookies today, and found a ton of roaches. I also bought some whole corn and some mealworms, and another waterer, because I think they have a drinking problem. I don't think they appriciate me...
