Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

depending on the part of the world you live in, the celebration of Jesus's (pbuh) birthday is in february, april, or even september/August.
As Christmas is not about the birth of anyone in particular for everyone, I was not going to bother with bringing that up. Some people just like to have a day off work and have some presents. Fine by me.

I don't think I can comment on this without the mods having issue. I can't talk about religion at all apparently.

I take that back, when other individuals wish me a happy holy month, no one has had issue with that :)

I don't have any issue with it at all.

For me - If you want to celebrate someone's birth? Great. If you don't? Also great, up to you. Not that it matters at all, but in my family we tend toward the former but I know a lot of people don't. It's just a day off work (or not) and maybe some presents...or not for some people. I am all about people doing what makes them happy. I don't get why it has to be an issue or be offensive. My point is being missed. All I was saying is winter does not equal christmas so if you work somewhere that is already gearing up for Christmas and you want to talk about it, go for it. I just don't want to talk about winter right now lol. I am well aware that different countries/religions have different holidays and that is super duper with me. That even completely goes along with what I was saying, which is that we can talk about christmas (or whatever holiday one likes) just not WINTER.

I am also aware that I am not the dictator of what is and is not talked about anywhere on this forum. My original comment was meant mainly as a joke. OF COURSE people can talk about winter if they want. I was kidding, it doesn't matter that I am scarred for life after our last horrible winter. I don't get to say what is and is not talked about here, or any other public forum. And I know that.

Nothing I said was meant even a little bit offensively and it's unfortunate that it was taken that way. I am not aware of any mod involvement but if that happened it's because my comment was taken completely wrong. I have never had any occasion to have any kind of mod contact, that kind of thing is just not in my nature.

And that is all I have to say about that.

lol, I wasn't saying that what you said was offensive. Don't worry!
I agree about not talking about winter though...so let's not do that.

It just made me sad that people have turned something of their own faith into commercialism, materialism, and idolatry (in effect).
I don't celebrate Christmas though so what do I know. :)

While I'm sitting here - has anyone else accidentally clicked on the link to the start of this thread and, seeing a post from OK think "YAY! OK posted!" only to find that sadly, it's the first post and no, he hasn't paid us a visit :(?

Has happened to me a couple of times...usually when I am using my phone.
